Returning for its eighth year, tickets are now on sale for Australia’s Premier Regen Ag Event, Wilmot Field Day.

We’ve reshaped the event, with a new format and an inspiring program, offering a greater diversity of themes and speakers, and more time to connect with the thinkers and doers driving change in our agriculture sector.

Here are five reasons to add WFD 2026 to your calendar:

1. More to choose from

In 2026, the Wilmot Field Day program will explore the connections between agriculture, environment, people and communities. We aren’t just focused on what happens in the paddock, but how we take that beyond the farmgate to the consumer and the community (with returns flowing back to producers).

Explore six different themes through the Wilmot Field Day 2026 program, choosing the sessions that spark your interest throughout the day:

  • Farming, people and resilient landscapes
  • Regenerating our food system
  • Heathy soil, healthy food
  • Prospering family farms
  • Local and connected supply chains
  • Climate change solutions.

Find out more about the themes here.

2. We’re not just talking, we’re making it happen

Be inspired by the innovators taking bold steps to change the food system. Meet the family farmers, the educators, the author, the analyst, and the ecologist taking practical steps to create a more resilient and profitable agriculture sector.

Hear from Australian chef-turned-farmer, Matthew Evans, who is helping to connect communities back to their food through Fat Pig Farm. With a strong focus on soil health, Matt invites people to the farm to see how food production can improve health and nutrition, environmental and social outcomes.

Meanwhile, US croppers, Clint and Ashley Jessen, have built a vertically integrated supply chain for regeneratively and organically certified grain. This gives producers in their region an alternative way to produce crops and to market their product direct to buyer. Learn more about how they did it.

3. Get into the paddocks

This year we’re offering demonstrations and interactive sessions on both days of the program. Dig deep into soil pits, look at cutting edge ag tech, or wander through the Wilmot paddocks to discover how you can turn theory into practice.

Join Dr Susan Orgill, Chief Scientist at Impact Ag Australia, to unearth layers of information about your soils through observation. Discuss the factors that could be limiting your pasture or crop production, and discover practical strategies you could put in place to remediate your soil constraints.

You might also like to walk around the property with the Wilmot Farm team and keynote speaker, Dr Jonathan Lundgren. Your hosts will share their experience on improving natural capital and farm profitability through agronomic, ecological and economic factors, pointing out important production and health indicators along the way.

 4. Enjoy the company

Travelling from all corners of Australia and from overseas, Wilmot is about building a community of changemakers. Be inspired by the people you connect with over the course of the event, whether that’s during sessions, during the breaks, or at the site exhibitor area.

This year we’ve allowed more time for you to spend with speakers, with longer sessions spread over the two days. Whether it’s the keynote address on regenerative agriculture principles from Dr Allen Williams or the panel session on environmental markets with GreenCollar’s Brendan Foran, spend time delving into the ideas that are shaping the future of agriculture

Visit the site exhibitor space to get to know our 2026 sponsors, including the team at LAWD, this year’s Major Partner and one of the nation’s foremost rural real estate and advisory firms.

5. Kick back under the stars

At Wilmot Field Day, we’ve got things sorted so that you can enjoy the downtime for conversation and reflection.

Catch the bus from Armidale for an easy journey. On arrival, pick up a fresh brew courtesy of our Coffee Sponsor, Atlas Carbon and a drink bottle from our Water Sponsor, FarmBot. You can look forward to meal breaks and top notch catering throughout the event.

Unwind with drinks and music at sunset on Day 1, whilst you debrief on the day’s discussions. Keep your eyes on the sky for an agtech demonstration at the same time.

Top off Day 1 with the crowd-favourite Dinner under the Stars, featuring local produce, local music and an inspiring presentation from Steph Trethewey, Founder and CEO of this year’s Charity Partner, Motherland.
